I had a great opportunity the other day to do a shoot with a couple of amazing models. I traditionally do families and seniors which is something I truly love. The families are always unique in their own way, its really cool to see how families interact with each other. I think every family thinks there's is the strangest one on the planet....and in some cases they may be right.
The seniors are just plain fun! They each simply want to just have a good time with their photos, they want to fit in with everyone else at school, while at the same time they want to be unique in their own right. They want that one thing that no one else has and once their friends see their photos they want the entire school to talk about it. I've
only done a handful of model shoots, this is where a model will come to me and ask me to do some portfolio work for him or her we come up with concepts together and we shoot it. Its just not something I do a lot of. In some cases like this one, the shoots just kind of evolved and we ended up shooting a lot of images with a couple of different concepts. This is the last image of the night, I think I shot about six or eight frames with this concept but after the first frame I knew I had the shot.
I believe that as a photographer its good to keep trying new and different things.....what's the old saying if you do what you've always done you'll get what you've always gotten.
